No: a herbal tea being suitable to drink chilled does not mean it is suitable to brew in cold water. The packet must identify the intended preparation method. That distinction matters when a cold-brew recipe appears beside ordinary herbal tea bags in search results.
Read the brewing directions first
Look for explicit cold-brew instructions rather than a photograph of a glass with ice. If the packet tells you to use boiling water, follow that direction. A glass jug, a refrigerator or a long soaking time does not turn a hot-infusion product into a labelled cold-brew product.
A different way to enjoy iced tea
You can explore iced serving styles using a tea that has first been prepared according to its directions. The UK Tea & Infusions Association distinguishes this from cold brewing. Use clean equipment and the product's storage guidance, and avoid assuming one preparation rule covers every ingredient or blend.
Ask a specific product question
If the directions are unclear, send the supplier the full product name and ask how it should be prepared. Asking whether it can be served chilled is a different question from asking whether it can be infused in cold water. Keep those questions separate when comparing products online.
