Chamomile tea is a herbal infusion made with chamomile flowers. It is one example of a flower-based drink, alongside the many infusions made from leaves, roots or other plant ingredients.

Flowers rather than tea leaves
The name describes the botanical ingredient, rather than a style of black or green tea. Chamomile is a common name associated with more than one plant, including Roman chamomile. The exact ingredient should be identified by the supplier, so two packets with a similar name need not be identical.
Plain chamomile or a blend?
A packet may contain chamomile on its own or combine it with other ingredients. A blend with lemon, lavender or another herb is a different tasting experience from a plain flower infusion. The ingredient list is more informative than a picture of flowers on the box.
A useful tasting comparison
When exploring herbal tea, compare the named ingredients as well as the flavour descriptions. A flower infusion and a guava leaf infusion are different products, even when both are served in the same kind of cup. There is no need to expect one to taste like the other.
Discovering another ingredient
This is an introduction to chamomile, not an offer of chamomile from K&M Herbs. Our current range provides other ingredients to explore, including guava leaf and moringa. Their individual product descriptions explain what is available.
