Christmas Mocktail Recipe: Cranberry, Orange and Lemongrass

Christmas Mocktail Recipe: Cranberry, Orange and Lemongrass

Cranberry and orange bring colour and bright fruit flavours to a Christmas mocktail. A cooled lemongrass infusion adds a gentle citrus note without turning the drink into another glass of plain juice.

Ingredients: serves two

  • 150ml brewed lemongrass tea, chilled
  • 150ml cranberry juice drink
  • 100ml orange juice
  • 100ml sparkling water
  • Ice and two orange slices
  • A few fresh cranberries for decoration, optional

How to make it

  1. Prepare the tea following the product instructions, remove the tea bag and chill.
  2. Fill two glasses with ice.
  3. Mix the tea with the cranberry and orange juices, then divide between the glasses.
  4. Top with sparkling water and add an orange slice to each.

Prepare ahead without losing the fizz

Mix and refrigerate the tea and juices ahead of your gathering. Add ice and sparkling water when you are ready to serve. Use orange slices as the simplest garnish; loose decorative fruit does not need to be eaten. For a gentler fruit flavour, add more sparkling water. Check juice labels when catering for dietary requirements. This is a new recipe idea for the website, inspired by the guide’s suggestions for enjoying herbal tea hot or cold.
